| Its great isnt it, look at how much as a group we we spend at least a couple of thou in your bike then riding gear, fuel, tires and servicing, this is all going back into the community and what do we get sweet FA. Yet look at footy even if they bought 2 pairs of boots, 5 balls and a couple of jerseys a season they would be luck to spend what we do just on rear tires, yet there are footy fields everywhere. Ive never picked up a footy in my life so how are my tax dollars benifiting me? Even skateboarders are getting million dollar parks built everywhere yet there are about 4 places you can ride Australia wide. Am I missing something? Why are we so maginalized with the money we put back into the community. How can we get together as a group to show the politicians we have clout and vote. This is happening too to many of us outdoors people we are being locked out of more and more of this country, and they wonder why we are now the fattest nation on earth.................. |

Re. Worimi Conservation Lands Plan of Management
Public Workshop 7th November 2010 – Anna Bay
Thank you for attending the Worimi Conservation Lands (WCL) plan of management workshop on the 7th November 2010 at Anna Bay.
The workshop was a great success with over 40 participants contributing to what were informative and constructive discussions on the day. The contributions recorded during the two facilitated sessions have been put together into a single document as a record of proceedings. As discussed at the workshop, a copy of the workshop proceedings would be provided to all participants, and is attached. The document can also be viewed and downloaded from www.worimiconservationlands.com.
Plan of Management Consultative Group
You may also recall from the day we called for expressions of interest for people to be part of a consultative group. The role of the consultative group is to discuss key planning issues with, and provide more feedback to NPWS, which will be considered as part of preparing the draft plan of management for the Worimi Conservation Lands (WCL). Participation in the consultative group is voluntary.
The consultative group was formed to reflect the variety of users and issues at the WCL, whilst being mindful of group size. Thank you to all who nominated. The consultative group is:
· Hugh James - Camping, fishing & young people
· Trevor Connell - NPWS Hunter Region Advisory Committee
· Annie Lawrence - Anna Bay Parks Committee
· Nicola Roche -Archaeologist & cultural heritage resource management specialist
· Brendan Burke - Recreation Vehicle Area interests
· Siri Nicolas - Horse riding
· Rob Kelly - Four wheel driving - 4WD NSW & ACT Inc.
· Mark Newling - Stockton Bight Dune Operators Association
· Alwyn Garland - Tin City Heritage & Conservation Society Inc.
· John Simpson - National Parks Association
· Myra Espey - Port Stephens Econetwork
· Jason Linnane - Port Stephens Council
NPWS and the consultative group held an introductory meeting on 5th December 2010. The feedback from the public workshop was discussed at the meeting, and a tour of the WCL focussing on some of the key issues completed.
Would you like to contribute further comments about the future management of the WCL?
Further comments about the future management of the WCL are welcome. You can email me, or contribute through the WCL website (www.worimiconservationlands.com) via its plan of management page.
Thank you again for your interest in the future management of the Worimi Conservation Lands.
Sincerely,
Adam

One of the twelve people in that group is a representative of the offroad community. Does that mean we have one 12th of the weight that goes towards any future decision making?
Everytime Ive been down to stockton, ATV users seem to make up far more than one 12th of the people actually using the area. _________________ State governments give us REC rego + area to ride ATVs legaly!
