moree, would have to be one of the most insane tracks i have ever riden on,
back a few years ago, there was at 80ft step down could of been 90ft can't remember, China and i jumped it a couple of times, only because channel 9 was there, oh year Pigsy from Qld jumped it aswell but it was only because of the throttle on his banshee got stuck wide open.
it was a nice jump _________________ 2012 sponsors, Working on it. |

| its a nuts jump, probably shrunk a bit over time but on the last lap for the day last weekend by brother jumped it and did it real sweet too aparently i was behind him and saw him go way up in the air. apparently alot of the two wheel fellas were real impressed considering it was the first time we have ever riden the track, and got alot of respect from the locals. which is what ad (my brother) is always saying that the quadies need more of. |

i have submitted some dates today to HMCC club for 2 rounds for next year, i have also approached lakes today and submitted some ideas about 2 or so rounds at Lakes in 2010, that will also include some practice days for ATV's.
this on top of speaking to Quad riders queensland president today about a potential MX series within a series during the year, with the support of QQRA and NSW riders.
no matter what NSW riders will have a series that will cater for everyone within the local area. Motorccyling NSW are working on there dates this week and within the next month or so we should know more what dates are avaialbe and what other dates we can slot race days for ATV's at other clubs around NSW.
once we have these, then its time to talk the talk and support the racing. a few of us will then try and obtain some sponsorship and create a race series that for NSW will be the grass roots for growth and enjoyment for ATV riders. _________________ 2012 sponsors, Working on it. |

That's my wifes, but I was the clown that put it there
Great job Mick. It's been talked about for long enough and after Todd and worthys effort for the last couple of years that really got the NSW thing off the ground you are taking it to the next level.
Lets hope the junior thing comes off to bring it all together. _________________ If it's not upside down, you're not trying hard enough!

Good work Mick...am all for the idea and will help out where possible.
Just a thought...what about trying to incorporate some round/s of the QLD Thunder X series as part of it ? Kill 2 birds with the 1 stone then. _________________ Team Ironpot 701 Just Doin It

thunder X is a good idea, but they don't as far as i know have the space to fit in 5 classes of quads, they really only just have time for 1 class, that limits us big time.
you never know.
lets not forget about the juniors aswell, hopefully, we ahve been saying this for a while that we can get them running next year. anyone know of an update? _________________ 2012 sponsors, Working on it. |

| great effort to getting a series started.just a suggestion.a lot of new riders are not keen on tracks with big jumps. how about some rounds of flatrack to encourage non mx riders?? just throwing it out there. gazman. |

cool idea gazman.
I attended the moree Mx club AGM last night and pitched the idea of the club hosting one of the rounds of the east coast cup. It was put to a vote and the vast majority voted for the idea. the committee members were highly enthused about the idea, especially the new president. i was given the job of chasing up the details. so i am really hoping that the series organisers and riders would be keen to support the idea. i think that moree mx track has alot to offer the series. any way let me know what you think. |

sounds okay, for the NSW round we will take what we can get.
if you could get the some free dates, maybe around 3-4 club days and we can see which is best to maximise numbers.
from that we should have plenty of dates and options and we can then start setting up, if all looks good
for those who don't like to travel 6 odd hrs or half a day trip, there should be plenty of time to plan, save up and organise car pooling to minimise cost. it is worth it, Moree track rocks and the pub aint a bad place either. _________________ 2012 sponsors, Working on it. |
