A few pic's of the R finished. Well other than some new rear fenders  The rear suspension Is done, along with the 450r pegs. The rear end now has 12" of travel, thanks to a 18.5" YFZ Axis shock. Now the rear Is adjustable and smooth like the front end

Hell Yeah, i also got an email from a guy on another site yesterday. He heard that i made triple trees etc, i dont but i told him i knew someone who does and i gave him your name. Hope thats cool.

Hi Jason,
I ve read through a few posts on 3ww about USD conversions but i'm still a bit lost as to what fork legs to use. I saw one set up i think was using KTM85 legs as they were a good length but a bit soft and another that used a shortened 250 leg. What have you used and could you list the parts needed other than your tripple clamps to do the conversion.
I've had the 450r rear end in my 250r for some time now, i gave up trying to make everything fit with the 450r shock so i ditched it in favour of a Fox podium X out of a predator 500 (comes standard) in a no link set up.
the rear end is so good i keep blowing out my 250r forks looking for bigger bumps to enjoy the rear on!
I need the front to match so any help, and a price on the tripple clamps, would be good, Cheers BC

The KTM85SX forks are the easiest, and can be made stiff enough with some .44KG - .46KG spring's, along with valving changes. They have 43mm tube's, which are Plenty big enough. The last couple sets were Installed with .44KG spring's, I felt they were just a bit soft for bigger jumps. The 85SX forks have 10.5" of travel, so that Is pretty good travel. Valving Is KEY In setting these forks up to to make the rider comfortable. I can help you through that also If needed.
The cr125/250/500 forks work very nice also, but need to be shortened to work correctly with the 250R frame geometry. There are certain forks that need to be used, and at 300.00 to shorten them correctly It's hard to make It worth the trouble. 01 CR500 forks are one of the better forks to shorten because of the way the seal collars are Installed, and the upper aluminum tube's are not stepped at the location where they are clamped In the triple's. KYB's are the best one's, but If you decide to use those, PM me a link so I can look at them closely, because some are still not able to be used because of the steps In the upper tube's.
The price for the standard KTM setup Is 500 USD. That kit Include's the triple clamp's, a custom built axle and spacers to use your stock R hub. It also Include's a brake rotor adaptor to run the 85SX rotor and calipar. The kit come's ready to bolt on with all the needed bolts. The only difficult part Is pressing out your stock R steering stem and pressing It back Into the new lower clamp. I also suggest new steering head bearing's when Installing the parts on your bike. If you send me a stock R lower clamp I will press out the steering stem and press It back In the new lower clamp free of charge.
You will need to get the forks 02-06 KTM 85SX.
02-06 KTM85SX calipar and front brake rotor.
You also need Universal handlebar mounts (Houser style trx450r, or Pro Taper).
If you decide to shorten full length forks, you will need the Brake rotor and Calipar that matches those forks.
