I am currently converting my XR 400 to the TRX 400 electric start.
The only thing I am having trouble with at this time is finding a part number or a picture of what I believe to be a pin that fits into the shift drum and contacts the neutral switch making the neutral light work.

If anyone can help with this it would be appreciated.

which side of the drum does it go in? there is a pin listed on the parts fiche as 3 x 9.8mm but it looks to be on the wrong side from the neutral sensors.

its not meant to be part of the shift star is it?

You are correct it is on the wrong end, no one seems to have a correct picture of it on the microfiche.
They have different part numbers so I have purchased a second hand one and am waiting on it's arrival.

Changed the shift drum and after some other problems finally got the bike to run today, next to tidy up the wiring, adjust a few things and go for a test ride.
