due to the wind and heat there was a lot of dust in the air so i left my camera's in the car,
we made it there after practice had finished, so had to wait 3 hrs for the iliminations / final.
there was a good range of quads there, with about 15 in class.
even a grizzly had a crack, and made it into the thrid round.
my brother rode my new bike, but due to never riding it before and never riding on paddles before he was a bit nervous about not getting any practice and being expected to line up against Dale's turbo raptor.
but he got within 15m at the finish line so i thought that wasnt a bad start.
he then got knocked out in the second round by one of Tolis bikes.
I raced on the 10 and one 5 out of 5 races,
a bad draw seen the Dales turbo raptor up against Tolis tripple with 5 bikes left.
the raptor decided to save face and pulled out as he knew he couldnt beat the tripple, leaving Toli to do a solo pass.
it then went on the trailer and i took out the remaing R1 raptor with a easy half track wheelie, and won the event.
$100 and a trophy paid for my afternoon.
i should mention that Tolis tripple deserved the win.
and hopefully soon we can get them to organise a race against the v8 unlimited bikes. 200 hp and 200kg vs 900 hp and 500 kg. |
