I have recently found out that the NT police are currently undergoing an extensive mission to eradicate "hoon" riders from riding at Gun Point and all other areas that they want such as any part of the bush, by fining for being unregistered and unlicensed! now after hearing that being the inquisitive person that I am I had to find out why this is happening as it has never been an issue before.
So what I have learned so far from the NT Police, department of transport and MVR is that you basically can NOT ride you quad or any other form of vehicle through the gun point area without it being registered AND you have to be licenced!!
WHAT???
so MVR says that you cannot register a quad bike at all in the NT unless it is a government or work purpose vehicle. AND they also say that you cannot get a quad licence because they do not exist but a current car licences is fine. So what are we meant to do??? nothing apparently!!!!!!!
So if anyone has any information or can suggest anyone else that i can talk to PLEAASSEE let me know because this is really stupid and is going to affect lots of recreational quad riders in the area. |

hey dodo ...not sure what rock you been under .... BUT 1 death and another near death Paralyzed from the waste down.. Drunk as no helmets .. The Sargent at Humpty Doo ( who is a DMCC and TEMCC member ) Rang and told everybody to pull their heads in or lose the area.....
WELL NOW WE HAVE LOST IT.
And you want to go back there ? what for .... WE live in the land of plenty. Pently of other places to ride just as good if not better.

Yogie most times the police use Rifles .... or machine guns...
Gunn point is a place where the prison farm was years back. Popular beach for families and kids .... Just a heap of young fellas have destoryed for everybody atm ...
