 |
|
| mark gilbert from wayville speedway promotions rang me on my way home from kingston wanting to know if anyone is interested in doing a speedway demo during a monster trucks show. the event is in march and doesnt currently clash with anything on the calendar as set on the QRSA web page. i believe there is no maximum rider number limit so call me if ya know my number or pm me here if you are interested. the more the merrier. |

more details
the cost to enter for quads is zip plus you get a free ticket for a friend partner etc.
you get to watch the monster trucks too
format is still to be decided either demo or maybe racing
wayville is a longer and in places wider track than gillman so discussion is being held re line up pending GCR's
ie rolling start multi row grid or standing start etc.
the whole idea is to put a show on for an expected large crowd
some of the boys from mildura have shown interest in coming so lets see if other interstaters wanna give it a go too |

Wow, what a night. 19 quads full noise under lights with 10,000+ spectators. Thanks to Mark Gilbert for inviting us along, Wombat for keeping us organised and thanks to Bullet, Noodles, Manshee and Gunny for the comic relief. Only down side, it took me 2 hours to get that yellow gritty snot off my quad, then another hour to get it off my driveway. Oh well, "profanity removed" happens.

it was a demo that consisted of a parade lap and three race/demo laps. Some guys raced and others messed around in the back of the pack doing donuts and stuff. _________________ I'll give it a crack!

was a good night - my thanks to all the riders that attended
they put on a great show - that was well received by an enthusiastic crowd, and there was no accidents/injuries either, that's always a good thing
it's a shame there's no pic of dave's predator trying to hump the wall though
and i beleive gunny's yfz tried cocking it's leg on the grandstand side safety barrier

| hey dave mick is right, you should see a doctor about that big lump and the bleeding, and maybe a cosmetic surgeon to see if that bend can be straightened |

It's only bent for a little while. Mick is working on getting it nice and straight and help reduce the sag. _________________ When I'm racing I'm living..... everything else is just waiting. |

Hey, at this stage I'm willing to try anything to overcome my Dippy Dog fetish! Mind you, Noodles ate 3. I just don't know how we keep ourselves to trim. It must be because we're athletes hey?

you would have loved it disco.
good sticky clay that really suited the veloces on wider quads.
About a half a gear higher than Gillman.
Feels fast too, but the wall insn't scary.
Second thoughts... it might be a little bit scary for a softer lad like yourself. _________________ Can-Am X Team
