ive seen a couple of 86 250R's running the alloy 89 TRX swingarms on here, im curious as to how they handle and how hard is the swap? (any mods needed)

There are a few around with the 89 conversion.Aussieduner is one that i know for sure has done it so he would be the man to ask.

Yeah i've got one too, only mod is two bottom engine mounts (second pic) as you can no longer run the orig pivot one, as for handling arm is around an inch shorter than stock so I find it quite agile and wheelstand friendly, Would be fun with a big hp engine.

looking at the previous topic trx 450r swingarm conversion, looks like alot more butchery for the rear mount and parts are few and far between for 88/89 vs 06/09.
she is cut and bolt in and late model parts ???

maybe the way the dollar is a bolt in aftermarket at any length would save time
