I have been looking at Monsters lately, and have almost decided to get one, but i realized that i am being a little closed minded. I know triumphs are great bikes, and the looks of the Speed Triple are great.

Will anyone be able to explain/talk me out of the Monster, and why the Speed Triple is a better bike?

Just the difference in costs for services should be enough to put you off laughing
I have ridden both and I found the monster not as comfortable as the Trump , The V twin has heaps of low down grunt but runs out of revs where the tripple goes a little bit more but not as much as an in line four.
I used to have a Honda VTR SP1 1000 V twin , you need to ride both and compare the difference in power delivery

Just my 2 cents worth
