Up for sale is the one of the very last Honda Pilot FL400R ever built. Last ones were built in 1990. This model was never brought to Australia and was imported from California many years ago and was sold out of the showroom in 1993. I have all the original paperwork from the US. This Pilot has been kept in absolute immaculate condition. You will not find another Pilot in this condition in Australia or even dare I say in the world! There would only be literally a handful of these in Australia which were only imported by real enthusiasts. I have many photos but I will send onto genuine interested buyers.
The Pilot has a 400cc Two Stroke motor in immaculate condition. It is Automatic with a centrifugal clutch. It has Reverse, full Independent suspension, electric start, spotties, full 4 point harnesses, and drives superb. Apart from the the ITP polished alloy wheels and the performance comet clutch, this machine is as original as you will ever find.
There is not a dollar to spend on this baby. Everything on this machine is perfect. It starts first pop, It still has the original tyres. I have various parts, spare new drive belts, full service manual and a detailed part list of every part & part number of the Pilot, all linked to the suppliers in the US. Ordering parts for this machine is sometimes easier than waiting for parts from the east.
Why am I selling?? Being very busy with my business and 3 small children I simply dont get to ride as I would like. The last time it was ridden was 18 months ago, and before that was probably 12 months before. It simply sits in the shed undercover and I admire it and start it frequently, to keep everything lubricated. Ive had my fun and reluctantly will move it on to someone who appreciates this machine as I have.
