Hi Guys

Hoping to get the 90 going soon with a new coil from atc heaven. I had a question though, it came with two different tyres on the rear, one is a mudpuppy and the other a trail claw, quite different from each other.

With these two will it handle/drive and steer badly or should be okay or should I try and find a matching tyre? The trail claw looks the goods for trails and sand but am pretty much a newbie to trikes so any suggestions would be great.

My riding will mostly around paddocks and hopefully in the future a trip to some sand. I had thought if I could find one of each then I could swap when mudding or something.

If it were me I would get a matching set. Would definately be better. On something with no suspension id like to run something with a lower ply rating so its softer and a bit easier on the backside.

Anyway food for thought...

Matt

Thanks Matt that's what I was thinking also. Was a reason they used lighter balloon style originally.

Probably won't make much difference in a paddock, 90's aren't exactly pushing bucketloads of hp, even in low range you aren't going to have issues. As long as they are the same size it won't matter. If you're hitting the dunes nothing beats the standard ohtsu tyres. I once saw a 90 that had pretty much less hp than standard climb a dune that was reasonably steep from a standing start and the sand was soft. They key to traction on sand is that curved profile, the deeper it digs the more traction you get.
