Yep auzzie aggreed my first weekend ever was on two hired trikes at great sand dunes near Wentworth NSW but now sealed off and not able to be riden on! When i woz about 12 this led to me and two other mates all buying two trikes and a quad and having many many weekendz of camping and riding out in the bush throughout my teenage yearz in my late 20's i moved to the city and sorta forgot about my trike now i 37 and would dearly like to get her back running and able to ride but lil did i know the rules have changed so so much!
I wasn't aware that trikes have been banned totally in australia cept on private land? I was sorta aware but not to the extent i have now been told... saddens me a lil as i was looking forward to getting her going again and weekends away on the trike camping and tearing around the countryside, not sure i aggree with this trike banning i couldn't count how many times i rode my trike as a kid and nothing happened to me too serious and we pushed em to the limits! It should be my choice if i wanna ride a trike i dun get it sure they can be unstable as such nothing a bit of leaning this way or that can compensate for?
People die sky diving but they don't ban sky diving smoking etc banning trikes just isn't the right decision in my opinion and prolly many others!??!! Can anyone tell me when and how and why this ruling came about??? Is the sand dunes you ride on auzziedunner private property or are laws different in NSW that allow you to ride? Is victoria laws harsher then other states?Or is it the same state wise? I not on a mission yet but i will ride my trike again one day soon somewhere's?? Any Victorian trike riders out there who have the same or similar problems riding and own a trike? Cheerz that my rant for today i just a bit disappointed as i was so looking forward to fun times out in the bush again on me 200x but some politicians decision or whatever is restricting me from doing what i like to do some laws are just silly anyone elses thoughts on this matter would be read with interest thankz DaZZa aka moggz  |
