70 bogging down.

Hey guys my 73' 70 is running like crap, has done it since I bought it. Thought it was the carby so I put a new one on it but does the same thing. Just bogs down when your on the throttle. I have tried adjusting air fuel mixture but no luck. Thing is, it runs really good with no air filter in it? Just has a new stock filter in it. Seems like maybe the foam is to dense? Anyone got any ideas? What groove is the needle circlip meant to be on? And what is the amount of turns out for air mixture screw?

Adjust the needle. The right spot is where it runs best Smile
If it runs better without the filter then is too rich, lower the needle to help (raise the clip).
