these are photos from the mid 80's to mid 90's the riders are colin & ray local boys . these trikes are still in his shed 3 of them and he will never sell them. he lengthened the swing arm and then put a adjustable linkage . because he couldnt keep the front wheel down.the pipe is a mod cr500 with a dg slip on. photos taken from peake day night enduro speedway at maitland sa & a tailem bend track. enjoy 
yes he still has the same mullet and beard

Don't see people hanging off the side machines like that much nowadays eh!
Takes a good rider to manage those things normally let alone ringing their necks in a competitive situation.

hi, ozquad44 & paul c , i was suppries he gave me his photo album, i only just know this guy but he knows i have a trx 250r and i sort of worked with him for a month. A real nice guy loves to talk about the trike days , i notice how much they hang off the seat too good to see. there was about 10 guys racing at its peak, might be more photos and even video he is still looking.

| Thanks for posting the pics . We used to race together for a few years.I think no 3 trike ran a 490 yz motor.I haven't seen them for 15 years or so . Say howdy from Ian parker tri z no 39 and David Jolly banshee no 1 from Stirling North , Next time you see them. The maitland photo has my two girls in the background. |

If a Quad is a Quad Bike,
Is a Trike a Trike Bike ????? ....
and if that is true then maybe it should have been a Bike Bike in the first place

spoke to colin today took the photos back (didnt want to damage them).
he remembers you Ian parker & david jolly.
sorry if i get this wrong. he told me that in one race or enduro he broke down and one of you stopped and had a smoke with him and then continued the race.he said it was all good fun.
yes it did have a yz 490 motor in it.

Thanks for that. Yes it was a peake 4 hour day night enduro Colin was in the front of the pack for about 2 hours (normal) and when he broke down.
I stoped and had a chat and a #smoke # then we went on to finish the race. I used to do the 4 hour enduros by myself so it was good to have a break.LOL. I should have heaps of photos .Will have to look for them and post some up. cheers Ian. |
