Hey guys,

Has anyone freighted a trike from east to west? I'm just after some advise on do's and dont's so I dont get stung if I cant find one here.

There is 2 advertised here at the moment, one is a ATC200 super red for $3600 or a 185s for $2000

Are these good prices or should I look east? I dont mind spending the money as long as its for the right trike!

no matter how good them bikes are they are only worth half that price. You can buy an85 or 86 250r for between 2500&3500.

Those prices are pretty top end for those models as Tony said you could get a nice 86 250R for that sort of money,i suppose the amount of trikes on your coast is limited.

Hey there Aussiedunner I have to say that I can only partially agree with some of the ATC pricing logic here. At the end of the day as we well now these three wheeled wonders are long out of production. So I guess if you can snavel one for an above average price providing it's still in good, complete condition regardless of the model ie;70,185s,200X,250R,TRI-Z,Tecate etc it's money well spent if thats what you want. My 82'ATC 185s cost over $4000.00 to restore back to factory condition using 100% genuine Honda parts. I know that kind of money is crazy but when you take into account the age of the machines, cost and scarcity of genuine parts for some models it soon adds up. Just a thought as a little extra money spent could save heaps in the long run. CYA.

They are really only worth what a buyer is prepared to pay regardless of how much you have spent on restoration. Those 2 in WA wouldn't sell over here at those prices, I think thats the point Aussie was trying to make.

Dont get me wrong i agree i will never get back what i have spent on my 3 wheelers i was just saying on the east coast they dont go for that type of money mostly due to the availabilty,OEM retstorations are very expensive and are often way over budget....but as we all know its damn good fun !

They were advertised in the Quokka about 4 weeks ago when I was looking for one. I havent checked lately as I picked up a trike and a quad about 3 weeks ago from a private seller on a different forum.
