ATV MX Hibernation Over
With nearly a three-month winter break, Australia’s premier ATV MX series resumes at the famous Barrabool circuit on August 27th.
Round five of eight will explode from the picturesque Barrabool track and will be the first time that ATV racing has been staged at the circuit on their own with no support classes. The Vic series regularly attracts around 100 competitors and there will be much hunger after such a long break.

Said series coordinator Mark Beechey “for the past few years we’ve normally raced every month beginning in about April right through till November, this year we decided to have a winter break and allow the cold weather to pass us by, I think it’s worked great as all the riders are very eager to get behind the start gates again.
To have ATV MX racing at Barrabool is awesome for us, the Sporting motorcycle club, who manage the circuit, could not have been more welcoming of us and we’re very pleased and proud to visit such an historic and spectacular venue”.

Twelve classes will be in action from 10.00am and spectator entry is free. The hotly contested Pro class will have three races on the day and the battle for the Championship lead is fierce. Yamaha rider, Adam Siemensma leads the points but he has some close competition with Tasmania’s Jy Stokes and Warrnambool’s Paul Smith trying hard to chase him down. The programme also features two women’s classes A & B as well as juniors and other senior support classes. If you haven’t seen ATV MX racing action get on down to Barrabool and while your there find out more about the Save the Barrabool fighting fund and help save this historic venue and part of Australia’s racing history.
