Ohms law anyone?
I believe the standard bulbs are 35 watts each.
70 watts / 12 volts = 5.8 amps
The LED bar you linked would suit fine.
Cheers,

| yep no issues with the light bar. Being 4 stroke the standard output is usually about 200w (give or take) but a set of HID or a light bar will pose no issues |

How can I work out what the maximum capacity is for the bike? I found these globes
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Yamaha-Raptor-350-700-YFM350-Super-White-80W-LED-Headlights-Bulbs-2006-2007-2008-/301444239665?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item462f7a1131
and spoke to the seller. He/she reckons that they're a combined 54 watts draw. These don't need a driver or ballast to run.
Assume that I wasn't happy with just these lights and I wanted more, how would I know what the limit is before it starts to drain the battery or worse? _________________ "Back up Bug!" |

just run a set of HID lights and be done with it. Not sure what the globes are on a raptor but buy a set off ebay and wire for like $30
i run a 55w set 8k hid on my LTR with no issues. Standard output on a raptor will hold a set of 35 or 50w globes no issue |

I'm looking at options. when it comes to electrical, I like to eliminate as many components as possible. Those globes I showed you don't need a ballast. A ballast is just one extra thing to go wrong. That's the only reason why I am not jumping on a HID kit _________________ "Back up Bug!" |

| Don't waste ur time with led globes. Led light bar is another option but that's adding electrical. Honestly go HID or a decent set of globes. Careful on globe tho otherwise you will melt the lenses |
