I recently bought some new pads for the rear caliper on my 700 raptor.
After these were bedded in, I rode it yesterday and pretty much had no brakes. It got to the point where the pads faded almost instantly.
I don't know what has happened, but basically on one side of the caliper only the outer half of the pad makes contact with the disc and has blackened the disc as well, and on the other side, the disc has been blackened completely. At first I thought that there could have been something stuck in between the pads and disc, but when I checked out and nothing is stopping contact.
The brakes have been bled and new fluid has been put in.
Has any one experienced this before?
Mud doesn't do much to help, but it's not thick greasy mud either, it's more like dirty water.
Any advice would be appreciated _________________ "Back up Bug!" |
